I have fifteen (15) years of experience in the paralegal field. After receiving an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies at The College of West Virginia now know as Mountain State University, I began my career working with a sole practitioner in a small town. I gained experience in all elements of general law in the areas of real estate, family law, criminal defense, civil litigation and personal injury. My career path then led me to a real estate law office where I gained eight years of experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions. I left that position for employment with a sole practitioner in the general law and civil litigation field. I refreshed my skills in areas such as legal research, drafting motions, drafting pleadings and responding to discovery.
Alas, I have found myself freelancing in the legal world. The real estate field is where I have the most experience; however, I enjoy the litigation field and have dedicated my career to the many facets of the legal field. I have also gained clients utilizing my clerical job skills for services such as preparing billing for court appointed cases. My intent is to acquire clients in diverse areas of the legal business to provide some variety in my work.
I am currently a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants, Legal Assistants and Paralegals of Southern West Virginia and the National Notary Association. Paralegal Solutions, LLC is also accredited through the Better Business Bureau.
I am eager to build professional working relationships with attorneys and law firms to enhance the services provided to their clients.
